Places to go people to Meet

I have a wish to travel all over the world, I want to see all the diverse cultures of the world and how do they do their daily things like we do, how different is it, when I was in school I always wanted to learn in Australia in Melbourne University, why because I wanted to see how do youngsters enjoy themselves, how do the study? How will be the student life there, that obviously did not happen, I also wanted to work in New York because as heard it’s one of the busiest and happening cities of the world and (so is Mumbai)….

It’s not like I have lost all hopes now, I want to go to Singapore and play with the Dolphins, I want to go to London city to see their marvelous architecture, I want to see Egypt and the famous ancient city of Cairo and look at the pyramids (this has been a childhood dream).
There are lots to list and the list will keep getting bigger as I grow and begin my journey….
But there are some places added to my journal because of my profession, I talk to a lot of people every day and some people really make their places in your heart, On a support cal few days ago I met Alfred.. lets call him Alfi … He is by far the most dynamic, vibrant, funny and calm SharePoint Administrator I have ever met, he was totally cool with the support call although it took us days to resolve his issue but he never got impatient and annoyed with that, he is a happy man and may god keep you that way Alfi .. I will always keep you in my prayers, Alfi is from Poland but now living in United States, Now where is Poland, when I Googled this place It found it to be something that’s worth watching …, here are some pictures of Poland and Alfi …

On another support Mission I met Samuel and Andres, Really awesome duo … They are funny and enthusiastic… they are from Chile and speak Spanish but they are great with English too…. Samuel is smart, and very humorous he is a SharePoint administrator and Andres .. well the first time I saw him on his IM I got sacred as he looks a little serious but he is smart and very nice, he is a developer and they both handle a lot of clients with a lot of responsibility … I have learned a lot from them about Chile and the people there … And I relay want to visit Chile and Samuel and Andreas once whenever possible .. here are there pics ..

And Mr. Chisnell, I don’t have a picture of him, but he is one of the followers of my blog, he came with a problem on his SharePoint site and his site is publically available so when I saw his site I could not take my eyes off it, it superb with the learning experience that he shares with his school every day, the site was used by the school kids to check the events updates and submit there assignments and lots of other things, I which I had a teacher like him Mr. Chisnell I would like to meet you some day…

A Real PrinceSS

As you know I have been through a trauma at work in last 2 weeks and weekends just passed by me even before I could wink, my personal life was not so great as well, it was just a 'bad phase' and as I said before "I would keep thanking god no matter what may happen", this encourages me to keep my little positive heart alive even in the midst of darkness

I call myself a '' kind of self titled (or maybe a reason of my positivity, it was also something Gizmo used to call me in college days) I think that I am very lucky and I have everything that any girl would dream of the first ever post that I made on another portal, just adding this to my precious water splash (umahh ... )


I say I am so lucky coz, when I see little children in orphanages I feel that I am so lucky that
My mum and dad did not abort me before I was born because I am a girl
That my parents gave me the same education as my brother and did not ask me to stay home and cook food
That I was not married at age of 13 and did not have to bear children by this age
That I was not forced to get dowry by my in-laws and was not burnt alive
That my parents allow me to enjoy my life playing games and did not waste my child age in teaching me to manage and clean house
That my parents did not restrict me to do night shifts at my job
That my parents understood that I can have friends who are boyz and did not restrict there calls to me
That I was not raped of molested at my teenage by someone psyco criminal
That I was given all that I demanded and was never deprived of any - any thing in my life
That my mum gives me food when I land home after a looooong day and i don't have worry about my second meal

There are many to list what I want to say is we have all privileges in life but we still crave for things, please think about people who have lost every thing in life even there families. but they still life on Hope they pray to God to give them strength & they welcome love for us who are completely strangers to them.
If in your life you do get time to serve old people who have lived there lives please respect your grand fathers or grand mothers or any one in relation and give them love, they will love it a lot

Back with a Bang ..... well really my machine banged on me

Blogging after 2 weeks ... poofh .. I wanted to blog and I had topics too but my office work was spilling in on me, and working in a support profession is not easy at all, When I come to the office the United States Wake up and logs in to the Sharepoint Portal, they encounter issues and call Microsoft support and its me at the other end, by the time I finish which my daily chores I realize that I have already extended my shift and its my time to leave for home ....

I think about water splash but then I guess I might be able to give it some time tomorrow and day after tomorrow and time and again ....
but today I got unlucky or lucky I suppose .. because my primary machine went down and the helpdesk had to replace everything and I had no other work then re installing my stuff and crying at my lost data.

But I can now pay attention to the water splash ......

Just Married

Finally Sobby got married, the whole tradition was awesome, the rituals were performed in the way the Bengalis do, because her hubby is from Bengal, she looked beautiful in the marriage and reception and I became Sobby for that day were I could not control my tears watching her ….

I wish she gets all the happiness she deserves and her hubby really takes care of her …

Nishiland water park

Its pouring lava these days when the temperature hits around 40 – 42 degrees in the day its really really hot and as Mr. Russell Peters say you have to trust an Indian when he says its Hot it has to be hawtt….

so me and some of our friends decided to hit a water park … nothing better then that, the condition was that we should not be travelling because the best water park in India is “Water Kingdom” but it is toooo far so we decide to hit Nish land water park which is in Khapoli and really not that good, (we did regret later)

Fight against Child labor

Today Mum was not well, she complaint of pain in back and ribs which is not normal at all according to me at her age and I am a bit more concerned about her bones and she is quite skinny, actually we are renovating our bathroom and plumbing section, so we ordered some heavy metal pipes from a shop and the shopkeeper sent the delivery boy who was a a small kid not more than 10 years old and was carrying 5 heavy pipes on his back,

When mum saw him, she rushed downstairs to help him keep that down which actually made a catch on her back, I was so glad to hear this and that's why I love her so much !!!!

But that is really a very big problem faced by the Indian Children today, I remember going to a shop to order some snacks and there were child waiters and Dishwashers everywhere their hands were too small to hold the juice classes but they were still delivering it, when I noticed keenly I found that all the workers where children from age 10 – 17, I thought of calling 1098 right away and complaining to the Child Help Line, but then my friend reminded me that these children might be supporting there families and to avoid a child labor we might effect the family, that could be correct but there has to be some way out to stop this.

In my previous post Stomach Teaches them all, I tried to highlight this feature but I agree that it sounded completely different. When you see small kids working for you, you really do not feel good because this is not what they deserve, these children are the upcoming generation and future of India, If this continues India will never graduate to be termed as Developed country….

Gonna Be Bride !!!

I woke up today at the load shedding time, incase some people are not aware about it its a way to kill people in the state that the government undertakes by disconnecting the power especially at those times when we really need it like noon or early evenings especially in summers … grrrr

I hope when the elections are over and If we get a real good leader this problem should be taken care off… nywas so there was “Cute” sitting down stairs and I noticed her from my balcony I was on my way to downstairs to see her when I spotted “Sobby” as i mentioned 1000 times before that she is getting married and there are only 4 days left for her BIG DAY, everyone was busy decorating the house and if you have ever seen an Indian Marriage its very heavily decorated and the preparations start from 5-6 days the marriage has rituals that are followed before and after so in short a complete Indian Marriage takes around 7 days ,

I will keep posting Sobby’s things here..

So as I mentioned the Bride was so desperate to get married that she holded the broom herself to clean the house

HAPPY EARTH DAY EVERYONE !!!!!

Today is Earth day !!! what does it mean? it means that we should be thankful to the earth for resources and life and everything that we derive from her

We should try to go green and try to wipe out the toxics that bothers earth from its living,

Come on people lets make optimum use of fuel, do not waste water and other valuable resources stick to Reduce > Reuse and Recycle, use less plastic, plant more trees, use less paper

Wear green today and show every one that you are an ECO friendly person, we should also practice the eco nature not only today but everyday, we need to save the earth from the ozone threat and plastic chocking and other things….. we can only do this and not much when aliens attack us or an orbit hits earth; so the bottom line is do it when you really can, :)

Sleepless

I had a great weekend, relaxed and joyful had a little conversation with friends and a good memories, when I came to office I had my friend lets call her “Miss UK” (why ? well that's a looong story) she came to me with dark and puffy eyes and very stressed I asked her if she was busy or had to hit office directly after a party, she replied that she could hardly get sleep as its so HOOOOT and trust me it is !!!!!

Another victim was “Pup” he was looking super stressed and just irritated he was suffering from insomniac as well, since Friday, and trust me its not as easy as it sounds its the worse that can happen to you, and getting over it is really tough

Reasons :

• Nightshifts
  
• Stress (work and emotional)
  
• Climate change
  
• Extreme (humid, hot, cold) situations
  
• Dehydration
  
• Leaving of a long habit suddenly

The water splash will help you get over it

Its super hot and the temperature hits around 40 degrees Celsius in day time so guys get something to chill you and I literally mean that, get an AC or a good Air Cooler as soon as possible, there are lot of variations available in market.

Take a cold water shower before going to sleep, wash you hair and body with a soothing soap something gel based & which kills bacteria cause the temperature is best for bacteria to survive on your skin

Keep yourself hydrated with loads of water and juices, yea that will work because water makes you sweat and keeps body moisturized

Pamper your self with some cool face packs which contain cucumber, apply head oil which is thanda thanda, with all the ayurvedic benefits and try foot massage this will relax you

Do not take too much stress leave office work at office play with your pet or kids to relax your self, indulge in an activity that interests you like drawing painting or cooking, this will de-stress you and move your concentration from something that's really disturbing you

Physical activity does make you tired and sleepy, go to gym, cycling or just a run around the town, this will relax you and your muscles and help you get some sleep and stay healthy

Expensive salons, to be or not to be ………

Lifestyle demands a lot of things from you, if you are working in an corporate environment with a good society of people you really need to keep up with the trends, wear branded outfits and like it or not groom yourself….

When we talk of grooming we talk of salons, what are they ? salons are one stop for all your needs from haircut to pedicure and everything in between …. these services are not really very different from your regular parlour but they certainly guarantee good product range from Lo’ real to Garnier and Lakme great customer service and skilled workers. This gives you a value for you money and quality service.

All this sounds good but the hitch is the cost and when we talk about money we are not being cheap but being economical (I hope Russell Peters gets this and stop cribbing about Indians :p), if you have to visit a salon very often you do have to worry about the cost.

We had a little situation in office today

Friend 1 >> hair cut + color + conditioning = Rs 1200/-

Friend 2 >> Hair cut with some conditioning = Rs 300/-

ME >> Haircut + straightening + SPA therapy = Rs 7000/-

Friend 3 >> Haircut (from a normal parlour) = Rs 25/-


Thats a real good recession rate :o, and trust me the haircut wasn't bad at all, so “Friend 3” just acted smart, and we losers tried to cover our stupidity by swearing on quality and benefits of the Salon But secretly the next time I step into a Salon I am really gonna think 2 times,

just adding to this there are a lot of things that you cannot trust just anyone to do like hair coloring, manicure and stuff ... and we really need skilled labor

now i end this post before it becomes a complete crap ...

Girlie Man

As you know that one of my very good and close friends “sob queen” (Sobby) is getting married this month so (me and cute butterfly) are with her in her premarital preparations which is certainly an experience, it was Monday and $obby had to travel to Bandra which is located in North side of Mumbai city and a very happening place good for shopping and stuff !!!

We took a train there which was the fastest option, and reached to a place called Chapel road and met her Decorator oops!!! I mean the guy who will be taking charge to make her look gorgeous on her wedding night

We saw a lotta pics of the brides made up by him and he did do a great work,

He arrived, and sat on chair with cross legs, and said in a very accented thin tone, “Okay now who is the bride?”, we saw him in a shock and I immediately remembered the ‘Fashion’ Movie by Madhur Bandarkar then sobby answered its ME,

He closely observed her hair and said “I will tie it up on the side and let orchids flow from left” his gestures were very girlie in fact girlier then gals. Then he went on and on with the bridal dress and the footwear with shampoo to be applied and eye shadows showing how exactly to move hands over them and all brands of makeup we have never heard of.. and his tips and tricks…

He sounded like an absolute gay, me and ‘cute’ could not hold our selves from laughing. after we left from the building we very really on our knees… but on the serious note men working the the sector that belongs to women makes them behave gayish..

if you go to salons or these makeup men or the designers they are girlie, maybe they have to think that way to impress or make the customers happy ….. they wear pink wardrobe and they color there hair red or yellow, they are just so so weird there choice of bags and pierced bodies,

never marry a man who belongs to such sector coz you may not end in a very happy married life .. but this is just my assumption

Smile all the While

Smile is the greatest gift given by god to man, god knew that someday there will be many people in his world and they might not know each other because of so much diversity so when they pass by they need to feel love for each other and show a sigh and the answer was a” SMILE”

You look patient and humble when you smile at a stranger standing next to you in a Queue, or while waiting for the train, while travelling. Just a smile in bad situations can mean a lot to some one

In fact even when you are going through tough situations you must mask your face with a smile so that people watching you must not know that still water runs deep…

Smiling at Odd situations not only gives you a relief but also helps you think positive and feel positive and the simply gives you power to wipe away your sorrow

My Super Women

I woke a little late today reason; My phone buzzing all the time and also my Dad as he is at home is planning to renew the interior decor and not just the wallpapers this time its gonna be with glass painted doors and False ceilings and stuff, so the contractors kept on visiting him with all quotations and various offers,

In middle of all this my mum kept telling them to come after I leave for office and she was also taking care of laundry, cooking, cleaning and reminding every one to keep silence, when I woke up it was 1.5 hours for my cab to arrive so as usual I chatted with her about office yesterday other neighborhood gossip, she remained me that I have to buy a dress for SOB Queen’s BIG day and also pay the credit card dew, she reminded me of 10 other things that we do every month but I never remember …

When mommy was not here for about a month I had a real hard time with everything and just everything and now she is back I realize how important part of my life she is.

This always happens when mummy does not cook our favorite dish we yell at her but we don't thank her for what she has cooked, we never thank her for the things she does to make us fell comfortable and when she takes care of us when she is unwell. she celebrates our successes and is the first one to comfort us in our failures, she is my strength when I really need her. she believes in me more than I do, she think about me lot before herself.

she is a superwoman I love her and I don't need a Mothers day to let her know about this :D

Feeling HOT-HOT-HOT

The Water splash has changed its look, and I am working on how to customized it more, so you will be seeing a brand new Water splash in few days (no ETA defined) for this I am going to take help of my friend “pup” who is a brilliant HTML designer (I hope your happy to see your name flash here pup :p).

Well as I mentioned in my earlier posts the office has been busy-busy but you know what's the key to survival its adaptation to change so we have adapted to the office pressure and also the heat. The summer is killing, so what do we do to beat the heat.

Try to be cool with my little tips.

First as everyone says be cool try to accessorize yourself with cool looking things like your nail polish which can be of Sea colors and try some nail art wear big plastic rings with soothing colors which reflects good in sunlight, you can work a lot on your look with funky looking hats which will protect you from sunlight and also make you look really COOL

Summer is the best time to wear shorts, capries and 3/4ths also the tube tops there are so many things to work with your wardrobe

Carry a SUNSCREEN and a good quality lip balm alwayz and do not forget to take your shades. In fact I believe that summer is the most stylist season

A Rockn Weekend

The week is back and after a very long time I am happy to hit the office on a Monday, why? because I spend the best weekend of my life, and from today I understand that if you want to avoid Monday blues you need to rock the weekend….This is also because my parents were out this weekend and its was my turn to just Indulge

Saturday afternoon

After getting a little sleep from morning to noon, we finally decide to go to a DISC, for me it was the first time clubbing so I was damn exited all day, I put on all the clothes from my wardrobe and my friend helped me decide what to where and what not … after I was done with my dress and my makeup part, gizmo duck came to pick me up, then we were still not sure of the place we were going, we first hit the Renaissance in Powai the velvet lounge, but we were too early there and the place was deserted. I was a little unhappy there so we went to Juhu which like the main city and visited the “Rock Bottom”

Saturday Evening and the Night…

The DISC was good, there were so many people stuffed inside, and initially when we entered I could spot more Americans then Indians and they were quite feeling at home there.. There were a lot of experiences there i saw gals swearing at ach other in the washroom, I saw very very old men with young gals, I saw terrific hip hop dancers, bad dancers and a very very nice experience

Sunday afternoon

I was very tired after the visit to the amazing place so I decided to die in the bed that day, but i got a call from some friends that they were chilling at the RUDE its kinda cafe cum lounge but I loved the Hukka there which was a little expensive from the normal rates ..

Then after wards we went bowling and what a game !!! I rocked completely competing with 4 guys and I almost won, the game started and it was a warm up time

Player 1 > 6

Player 2 > 2

Player 3 > 8

Player 4 > 5

Me > Strike !!!!

WTF !!! everyone was damn surprised, and I was like yeah baby thats “Gal power”

Sunday Night

I have a good peaceful neighborhood and I have two friends who live with us, one is “Sob Queen” and another is “Cute butterfly”, Sob queen is getting married to her boyfriend in the end of this month its an inter caste marriage so this is an event of celebration and also “Spinster Pajama party”, so we were at my place (ofcourse), then we wore the usual pajamas anf started with a beauty session which didnot last very long coz we were so bored of it, Sob Queen got an idea to get drunk and we managed to pull some Vodka and had a great time, we chatted, danced and got drunk and then slept at 5 am, unfortunately Cute Butterfly has to leave for office and she slept hardly 1.5 hours caue we didnot let her, I have not seen anything more innocent then her in my life.

I woke at 4 pm in evening and rushed to office,

I am gonna Miss Sobby badly after she goes away

P.S : This is after2 pegs of Vodka , look at me !!! :P

Ready to be Tied up

After a long time returning to my Blog, I did miss writing when I was away on my trip, the trip to North India was good, when I hit office on Monday I learned that one of my very good friend and my boss’s boss’s Boss is leaving the office, I never knew this before because we had a little tiff on something, obviously I was a little upset with this.


Coming back to office was not pleasurable as had a very high pressure of call volumes and every one in the office carries an expression which looks some where between Goofy’s and Donald duck’s; obviously everyone is busy and frustrated and “I-donno-wat-to-do” type face.

Then there was another interesting news, my friend decided to get married the best part is she is the same age as mine and according to me this is not the right age to get trapped, I get another call from my college mate, she was studying with us and left in the second year of Bachelors degree to get married ‘Eekssss !!! that’s so sad’, anywas she called up to informed that she was blessed with a baby boy .. yeah right, well I told her that she was so lucky and the congratulated her.. the biggest shock is that she 2 years younger to me

Why are people so desperate to tie a knot and its not just marriage knot it’s a knot to your life’s when you tie it too early, life has so much to offer, college, friends, Job friends, learning phase, team outings, outings with gals, and then so many things to do, all ends when you marry coz then you are stuck with a husband, your In-laws, house chores, family functions, cooking, cleaning, and KIDS and these people are never satisfied whatever you do for them,

Get a Life people, Live your life to the extended fullest before you decided to end it

Jaago re !!! (its time to wake up )

Elections are on our way and everyone knows about it, the initiative taken by the TATA tea guys has truly shaken the nation and had showed the youth a better way to fight against the corruption, terrorism, & bad politicians; by simply casting a Vote.

If you remember the movie “Rang De Basanti” released in 2005 also showed the youths rebel toward the corrupt and selfish politicians by simply killing them which is not always a way to work out the filth.

The Indian youth became more aware of the nations political situation after the terrorist attacks on TAJ MAHAL which can be counted as one of the biggest disasters in a while now also when Barrack Obama became America’s president and when everyone believed that a big change is about to come, every Indian secretly wished to get an Obama for our nation, when Obama survived the racial discrimination there I was still thinking about the time when Sonia Gandhi even after winning the elections had to step aside for Manmohan Singh to take the prime minister position because she was an Italian and even after residing India for so many years and fighting for Indians she will never be termed as an Indian herself.

Well, there is a change in the Indian election too this time, there are youngsters really interested in casting vote which is going to make us fair results, we have some young faces who are look promising to me and Some movie starts as usual

One thing I loved today was an AD at the TV in which there was an appeal to the people to “not vote for the criminals” which is true, how can you trust a person to run nation who has been in jail, killed people and done everything possible to blow the law and order, after being elected as politician they will have more power with them and will in turn run a crime city.

My Office

My office desk is my personal place, I work there every day for about 10 hours, I spend my good and bad times here, it shares my mood swings and my temper, but I hate to see an untouched place, if the place is mine it needs to have my personal touch. So that anyone can spot me and also know real me as your work reflects your inner soul.


I made my own name plate which is kind of my nickname, self titled from college days, I made it a little vibrant with colors but not too many

Two things that I like on my desk a lot are: First, my unique things to do list which shows a picture of a strict women and a list of my daily chores to do and a poster made on a red card paper has writing in silver which reads,

“I WILL KEEP THANKING GOD NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS”

this also contains a picture of a man in will lot of stones in front of him and he thanks god for those as he has got an oppournity to use his strength, this is very very motivating as when things does not work out way we should always remember that god has planned something else for us, and thank god for keeping us away from doing something which might go wrong later.


Other things to add a little fun and vibrancy are Mr. Burger that makes you very hungry with its lip licking face and super cool colors.






Also here are my two sweethearts who keep looking at me they are "cuppi and chotu" you see in the picture cuppi is holding chotu (actually hugging),





The next cutie is called "dumbo" he is just an open face, it’s a packet painted to face so you can out your hand inside and run around with it, giving awhhhh !!!!! expression to everyone.




I had many more things in past which I don’t have now, like my fish bowl and my fish her name was “bubbles” unfortunately she could not survive the AC, and many more :(
